1.Teaching aims:
Students can master the usage of some new words: tomatoes, carrots, green beans and so on
Students can use plural form fluently and correctly in real conversation
Students can know more about nature and love our environment
2.Key and Difficult Point:
Key point: students can master the plural form of today’s new words.
Difficult point: how to use plural form correctly to describe things around their life.
3.Presentation
(1) The teacher will create a situation that students need to buy some vegetables to make a salad, so we come to the market. And show some pictures of vegetable, tomato, potato. Help students review these words.
(2) Then teacher will ask students if we want to buy a lot of these vegetables, what we should say. Show a lot of tomatoes, potatoes on the screen and teach students the plural form of these words.
4.Practice
(1) Finger show. The teacher will order these new words in different numbers. When teacher show 1 finger, students should say tomatoes; when teacher show 2 fingers, students should say potatoes. Students who make a mistake should read these words loudly.
(2) Match and say. The teacher will show some flash cards which contain different quantities of vegetables. the teacher will show these cards quickly, and students should speak out the quantity and name of the vegetable. For example, students will say 1 tomato, 3 potatoes…it can help students understand the plural form naturally.
